Mr. Cox, you need to forget what you've been told and just get to know the PEOPLE who post on this forum. Many are conservative--probably more conservative than you--and you would be surprised to know which ones they are. Almost ALL are God-loving Christians, who love the Word and serve Him to the best of their knowledge and ability. THAT should be respected, even when we don't agree on the details.

My father was a conservative Apostolic, and he discussed, debated and argued with his minister friends more times than I could ever count--and they were still friends at the end of the day. Discussion doesn't always reveal a person's viewpoint, either--I've played the devil's advocate a few times just to make a point or to push the parameters a bit.

Usually people fear discussion when they're afraid they might be wrong.
Yep, yep, yep.

Re: What I have learned from AFF

I can count on one hand how many times other forums have been brought up here and subsequently criticized. Usually it's quickly squelched, especially if specific personalities are brought up. If a large amount of time is spent in another forum criticizing people on this forum without giving them a chance to defend themselves, I'd say the AFF members aren't the ones with the spiritual issues.

Nate, I promise you the overwhelming majority of AFF posters are extremely conservative. The difference between them and you is they love open and honest discussion about the issues.
Please show me threads where I placed curses.

and questioning someones salvation.. isn't that what everyone is doing to me as well? Isn't the big point yall are pushing the fact that we want to discuss our salvation to find assurance of what we believe?

I don't think your rude. It's par for the course for a culture that believes the non-human AFF is reprobate. It comes off in how you interact, and are too good to dig deeper in a point. I truly don't think you are rude, and I look forward to future discussions.

And if you're gonna argue over here, Nate, you'd better bring it. This isn't a mutual admiration society like APF. We don't sit around and slap each other on the back.

Get over yourself, repent of your youthful pride, sit at the feet of people who actually know something, and then come back and debate.

mrnbcox, your beliefs are rock solid now, but the more time you hang around people that question those beliefs... one day you will start to doubt those beliefs also. If ya wanna keep being so sure about everything, then it's best you avoid discussions on the internet.

No, I wasn't.

But I have a feeling you are working on a ban over here.

I'm sure you and ALF can wear that ban as a badge of pride!

FTR, the "other forum" forbids mention of any other forums.

If anyone starts a thread about another forum, its promptly deleted.
