I was dirt dumb about the Bible back then (some probably think I still am). I ran with a pretty rough group who would have beat your face in if you spoke openly against what they believed about Jesus. I was the same. I really did not know what that "mark" was supposed to be, but I knew enough to know that it was something against Jesus. That is why I hated the song. I am sure that is what the rest of the crowd was booing also. Hey, we were a bunch of partying rockers, but none of us would take you speaking "evil" against Jesus. My experince is that sinners, more than anyone else, knows that they need Jesus. I was for sure one who did....

Saw some hombres recently that chew a drug that has LIME, not le fruit but Limes like is in concrete! They mix it up in a paste and chew it as a narcotic! Wild! Their teeth are falling out, gums are all deseased, yet they won't stop.
We have one man that did stop and now his teeth are so sensitive that he can only eat mild things!

In seriousness bro that is the truth, but Jesus delivers. His Gospel isn't a whacked theory, but it is the real deal, and that is WHY i dismiss all this verichip garbage. We have enough to do dealing with the reality of sin without fooling with mad fantasies.

I see. The song doesn't actually seem anti-Jesus, to me. Rather pro-Jesus, in fact. It talks about evil negatively, not celebrating it. Except at the end where it changes point of view (the one speaking is Satan or the beast, I suppose).
But yeah, can't expect a bunch of stoned Christians to do a careful analysis!
