I really DO miss some of the posters that have taken part since the inception of FCF but no longer do. However, I understand that not everyone is going to spend a lot of time doing this kind of thing. They have priorities and this is not on the list.
There have been some awesome people involved throughout the last 3 years or so.

Actually, I remember you from the GNC women in ministry.... If I remember right, aren't you from Indiana? I think I remember you saying you were headed to Goshen or someplace like that for your reception....

I think that really interesting conversations can, and at times should be passionate. It is very evident that we don't always agree. The important thing to remember is that there IS a line we should never cross.
That line is crossed when we profane God's holy things. These could be His Word, His ministers, or His people. Some things should not be touched.
I feel it is absolutely fine to bash ideas and even some man-made doctrines. But it is never okay to slander the things of God. Looking back, there are some discussions I regret being involved in. Not necessarily because I did anything wrong, but because there was no real value in the discussion. (Philippians 4:8)
What things constitute "the things of God"? How people interpret specific passages of scripture? What particular practices a local assembly engages in that are based merely on interpretations of scripture (or simply on man-made, i.e. not scriptural, traditions)?
Then again, some people seemed to think that attacking the post/idea/concept was attacking the person.
I prefer attacking the person...why waste the time arguing with every single post? If you make the poster look like a moron, you have saved yourself looooots of time
