In The Regeneration..
What are your thoughts on regeneration. What do you think it means!
Matt. 19:27,28 (NKJV)
27 Then Peter answered and said to Him, “See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?”
28 So Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Titus 3:4,5 (NKJV)
4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared,
5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.
6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

I do not think this is the same event Paul is speaking of the new birth of man and Jesus is speaking of the future coming kingdom the rebirth of the world.

Bro. Epley,
The Matt.19:27,28 event is before Jesus death, burial and resurrection.
The Titus 3:4,5 is a past event after Jesus ascended back where He
came from. Paul is telling Titus that it is not by works of righteousness
which they had done, but according to his mercy he saved us by the
washing of re-(again)generation, and re-(again)newing of the Holy
Ghost; Paul is saying that it's already been done. It appears to me
that it is speaking of the re/new birth experience. Past tense.
This rebirth or new birth began to be poured out at Pentecost and con-
tinues to this day. Many who were afar off were and continue to be
brought nigh.
Blessings,

I understand that. The regeneration is the new birth. However Mt.19 is speaking of the coming kingdom.

...of course, if we force dispensationalism to work. Sort of like Christ ruling in a physical kingdom when He distinctly said it does not come with observation and never can be seen, and is instead IN YOU. And we must cast aside Ezekiel 18:1-4 that says God will never punish anyone in Israel for the sins of their fathers, so we can believe God still blinds the Jews today for the sins of their fathers in rejecting Jesus. Those verses do not matter when it comes to upholding the Dispie truth!

Jesus said in the regeneration when he sits in the throne of His glory,
his disciples would sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
I believe He IS sitting in the throne of His Glory and because the re-
generation IS the new birth, those disciples are sitting on thrones,
judging by the Apostles Doctrine. They got their doctrine from Jesus.
He taught them for three and one half years. Then in the midst of the
week (weeks of yrs.) he was cut off, and after Pentecost, those apostles
preached and taught for three and one half years. They went everywhere
doing what Jesus (whom all power was given to)told them to do. Go teach
/preach all nations/peoples, baptizing them in a name. They were appointed
a kingdom just as Jesus was appointed one. The Kingdom of God. It is within
us and we are being regenerated. A new creation.
Jesus told his disciples that if they suffered with Him, they would reign with
Him in glory. They suffered and were persecuted for His name sake. They are
sharing with Him in glory.

Dear Brother,
There are those who believe the Messiah has never come. We understand
that HE DID COME! But today there are those who believe the Kingdom of
God never came. It came and continues to come without observation. The
Kingdom of God is within us. Maybe it is because, like the unbelieving Jews,
they couldn't believe something they COULD NOT see! You can't see the
wind, but you can surely see the effects of it! . It left behind the evidence
of having been there, down on the southern part of the United States.
Building yourselves up on your Most Holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost!
If you don't think the Kingdom of God has come to us, maybe we need to
stir up the gift that is within us. What I received in the summer of 1958,
is now beginning to feel like a River! Raindrops falling will eventually made
a trickle, then a stream, then in time those streams will make a river and
given time an ocean. The Word speaks of rivers of living water, springing
up. You get enough water inside a cup, vessel, etc. and if it continues,
it will overflow. If nothing overflows, there will be no rivers. If we are con-
tent with less than a full cup, we should not expect to have enough to
flow out to others. Lord, fill our cups (vessels) to FULL and OVERFLOWING,
in Jesus Name! We used to sing a chorus when I was younger that means
a lot more to me today as a mature senior sister.
There's a River of Life flowing out from me,
Makes the lame to walk, cause the blind to see.
Opens prison doors, sets the captives free,
There's a River of Life flowing out from me.
Blessings,

Re: In The Regeneration..
28 So Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
God was glorified in the Son. A Spirit must have something in which to display/or
manifest its glory. Someone who would give the glory to the Spirit (God).
We are told to glorify God in your body and your spirit which are God's. We are
bought with a price.
The Son was glorified in His chosen apostles (1 representing each tribe?)
We hear, believe and obey the Apostles Doctrine/teaching, as taught to them by
Jesus. He went back to the Father that the Spirit might be poured out on empty
(repented) vessels, hungrying and thirsting to be filled.
2Thess.1:10, speaks of "when He comes to be glorified in his saints.
Who do you think that is? Today HE is either being glorified in His people or
HE is not being glorified in our body and in our spirit.
IF HE IS NOT BEING GLORIFIED IN OUR BODY AND IN OUR SPIRT, WHICH
ARE GOD'S, NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.
Blessings,

You believe the 12 Apostles have already received their reward, and are sitting on 12 thrones right now, judging the 12 tribes of Israel?
