All kidding aside.... you obviously didn't read all my posts. He doesn't believe either party is perfect but he does believe that we should vote for the candidate that most closely associates him/herself with what we stand for.

As a matter of fact - there is a gentleman that is a part of our congregation that is running for city council - he is a democrat - and Pastor mentioned him from the pulpit and his stance on the issues that we stand for. (And I'm fairly certain that Pastor will probably vote for him because he expressed his views regarding abortion, prop 8 etc)....
Pastor encourages us to read the voters guide that gives each candidate the opportunity to express their views on issues that affect the church as well as what we would call "moral issues" - as well as fiscal and economic issues and he tells us to then vote our conscience.

Believe me - if a candidate says one thing in their platform and then goes the opposite while in office - Pastor would begin to pray them out of office.

It is interesting what it says about the US Constitution, there are rights for US Citizens like Voting, holding Office, but there are rights Guaranteed to "All"
who fall under the authority of the US.

Meaning: you just can't suspend the rights in the Constitution because you want to.
