I propose we nuke Mecca. If that does not demoralize them propose next will be Medina and then the Dome of the Rock....of course bombing the DOR will greatly upset the jews too but that is a small price to pay eh?

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

That's an odd mixture there.
Devout enough to do a suicide job one day but not devout enough to skip out on the strip joint the night before.

Indeed.
Of course, as we know, with these men not being Spirit-led believers, their self-imposed restrictions on the flesh will only go so far.
Besides, if they thought they were about to be rewarded in glory by Allah, maybe they figured, "hey, why not?".

They probably figured the martyrdom would assure Paradise and 70 virgins for them and would over ride any previous sins.

One would think that fear & zealousness sufficient to drive one to take ones own life in the name of your God & religion would be sufficient to keep you on the straight and narrow the night before.
