Round and round and round we go. My question remains unanswered. Frankly, I think men who are viciously opposed to women preachers (I am not saying this of you as I haven't read many of your posts nor many in this thread), seem to me to fit in the category of needing to look within as they always seem to want to vilify women and downplay the role of Deborah. I can't help that. Never could and never will. I never wanted to preach in the first place. I preached for about 17 years give or take a few. Now I don't. Can't say I miss it too much.

(Acts 21:9) And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy. There is a difference between prophesying and being a prophet.
Also, "prophet" is a masculine noun (G4396). Paul’s usage of “prophētēs” limits the operation of that calling to men only (See Eph 4:11).

Logic would dictate one who prophesies is a prophet.
Unfortunately, use of a lexicon does not render full understanding of a language, the masculine gender in a noun does NOT mean it only describes males. This is pretty much a universal fact for example in Spanish "chicos", which translates as boys, would still be the word used if it were in fact 99 girls and only one boy. Most of the Romance languages (languages based on Latin) as well as Greek etc. would follow this rule. Summary: the use of a masculine noun in NO wise is correctly rendered to be exclusionary to females.

No, the answer has been given. Look again through the posts. There is one side that is giving their view according to their feelings and personal experience. There is another who is giving what is found in the Bible. You just don't like the fact the the side you're taking is not the one with the biblical evidence.

What does this mean in relation to the subject at hand?

Re: Do You Believe In Women Preachers?
well, if a woman is to be in silence how can she prophecy?
I am not meaning a building I mean the church a body...lots of the body meets in homes, under trees, by river banks, in wooded areas...

Re: Do You Believe In Women Preachers?
I do not have to use my personal experience to prove my right to speak in church. I did use it but it is based on the Bible and the Bible alone...many women spoke even in a Jewish setting among men that blindly followed the Talmud...

Re: Do You Believe In Women Preachers?
If we must always dwell on the disobedience of one woman, and blame her for the fall, then should we not equally dwell on the fact that it was the obedience of one woman that brought redemption to humanity?

Re: Do You Believe In Women Preachers?
and my dear friends redemption is GREATER than the fall and if not greater then redemption is of no effect...
The natural curse is with us even until today...BUT men both JEW and GENTILE can come to God under the same terms if not redemption is weak...and so with the women...she can come to God on her own hear His voice and obey his command.
