Some small towns in East TX without power or water. It is not over for East TX yet apparently either. We are expecting high winds, rain, flash floods, flooding, and possibly tornadoes.
We have had 4-5 inches of rain fall here at our place in the last few hours.

The rain and wind has been coming in torrents here from Dallas, through Garland, Mesquite, Rowlett, and Rockwall. The sound is a steady hummmmm. Thank you Jesus for protecting all our friends. Those without power and resources...please send them angels.
Glad to hear everyone is OK. I have been praying for everyone - I got up at 2:00 am this morning and had a prayer meeting for everyone in the path of the storm. I am concerned about a friend of mine that lives in Orange TX. I do not know if she and her husband evacuated and I cannot get her on the phone. I know the cell phones are not working well and no one answers her land line. I have heard on the TV that Bridge City and Orange got 9 to 10 ft of water. Has anyone heard any thing about Steadfast's church.
Just got a call from the neighbors down the street. Our house in China made it fine, except for a small portion of the roof over the garage. The shed over the pump is gone and a large limb is over my small storage building.
We are thankful no windows were broken and all is basically well. Lots of limbs down, but we expected that.
Thanks for all the prayers.
No specific eyes on my house in Houston, but the neighbor I am told made it fine.
Very glad to hear your houses made it, Esther!!
A beautiful tree in front of Lowe's was split in half. I was sorry to see that. We saw a few trees down, but overall, not that much damage.
That's ok. You were on my mind through the night and this morning, so I wanted to call but didn't think I'd even get through. Glad you are ok!
Thanks, HO! My husband was rushing me and I couldn't call you back.
We, of course, being on the left side of the storm didn't get half the force of it.
We mainly have leaves, branches and a few down trees. I didn't see anything major. Lots of businesses still boarded up and closed. We finally found a place open so we could eat out with our son and his girlfriend. I didn't feel like cooking. A lot of places opened after 2pm, but many won't be open until Monday.
We still have wind here and it may be because a front is coming in. We can't un-board the house until the wind dies down.
