As an Arkansasan, I'm used to your silly, cliche joke.
The facts of the matter are Bill Clinton did more to improve education than anyone ever has in this state. He didn't send a mandated standards improvement without increasing the funding per child. I was in grade schools during that improvement and was the benefactor of that. He improved roads by the hundreds of miles, including overpasses and interstate repairs. He dropped the sales tax on my grandmother's prescription drugs and increased her homestead exemption amount. He was instrumental in establishing the funding and land for Arkansas Children's Hospital which is recognized as one of the top in the nation, if not the best burn unit.
He worked tirelessly to improve the state's vocational schools like Westark College and Arkansas Tech and others across the state. He also chaired the National Governors association for a year.
Sara Palin is no Bill Clinton my friend and that's from a Proud Razorback who actually knows something about Bill Clinton.
Take it easy it was a joke. But Bill Clinton still didn't have a wealth of experience going into the White House. BTW my mother was born in Arkansas so I can pick on y'all.

I'll only take it easy because I actually like you.
To be fair though Baron, comparing Bill Clinton's and Sara Palin's accomplishments is night and day. You'll have to admit that if you truly study both's accomplishments.

Are we talking accomplishments or experience? Not necessarily equal. Also the fact that she cut the budget is enough evidence for me. Any idea how hard it is to actually reduce spending in a government?
The fact is Obama can't exactly throw stones about lack of experience, I believe he has either skipped or voted present on more bills than he has actually taken a position on.
Oh how I wish the top of the ticket had been Romney.

remember the disaster they refer to as the Carter Administration? He tried to micrmanage everything. A good President needs to know how to surround themselves with the right people not make every decision.
Baron, you go right back to my original point that in order to justify this pick, you have to effectively neutralize your important attack against Obama's experience.

Uhh, Baron, I'm not sure where you got this. I read that the budget she signed was the largest in Alaska's history.

If that is your main argument I guess, but I think Obama's positions are reason enough to attack. I have never been a big fan of the "no experience" chant. He does have plenty of experience at getting elected and not showing up to do his job though.

AND my daughter won't even wear a denim skirt because of the connotation.
You have got to be kidding me.
Pentecostals aren't the only ones that wear jean skirts. I've seen some of the cutest ones on some catholic girls and been dying to know where they got them!

Baron, once again I will point out that the same study that we cite to grade Obama as the most liberal Senator was unable to give a grade to McCain due to the fact that he did not vote enough times to register on their study.

Welcome Back, Dad
by Michael Reagan
September 4, 2008
Quote:
I've been trying to convince my fellow conservatives that they have been wasting their time in a fruitless quest for a new Ronald Reagan to emerge and lead our party and our nation. I insisted that we'd never see his like again because he was one of a kind.
I was wrong!
And what a she!
In one blockbuster of a speech, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin resurrected my Dad's indomitable spirit and sent it soaring above the convention center, shooting shock waves through the cynical media's assigned spaces and electrifying the huge audience with the kind of inspiring rhetoric we haven't heard since my Dad left the scene.
This was Ronald Reagan at his best -- the same Ronald Reagan who made the address known now solely as "The Speech," which during the Goldwater campaign set the tone and the agenda for the rebirth of the traditional conservative movement that later sent him to the White House for eight years and revived the moribund GOP.
