New Zogby Poll Favors McCain 47/45

Drudge is reporting the new Zogby has McCain/Palin 47%
Obama/Biden 45%...

The Zogby site is flooded - can't get through.

Re: New Zogby Poll Favors McCain 47/45

I have zero confidence in Zogby but I always like a poll that has McCain ahead!

I did notice that the last gallop poll today only has Obama 4 points ahead which is half the previous bounce he had gotten from the DNC convention and his speech.

Normally the Republicans would now get a bump from their conventoin but if a catagory 3,4 or 5 hurricane hits New Orleans again about 3 people will we watching the convention and there goes the Republicans week in the spotlight.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

The site is back http://www.zogby.com/news/ReadNews1547.html

Pollster John Zogby: "Palin is not to be underestimated. Her real strength is that she is authentic, a real mom, an outdoors person, a small town mayor (hey, she has dealt with a small town city council - that alone could be preparation for staring down Vladimir Putin, right?). She is also a reformer."

"A very important demographic in this election is going to be the politically independent woman, 15% of whom in our latest survey are undecided."

The online survey was conducted Aug. 29-30, 2008, and included 2,020 likely voters nationwide and carries a margin of error of +/- 2.2 percentage points.
