Re: Evangelist Bentley stepping down

Well, I will just say this, we have a family at our school. The father has been battling terminal cancer on and off for 6 years. They gave him a pretty grim prognosis at the end of the school year last year. As a last resort, they went to Lakeland, and lo and behold, when they got back and had doctors run tests the tumors have shrunk and there is no reasonable explanation. The doctors are waiting to see what happens.

I am not saying he was a great prophet or anything, but I think we need to have mercy on him.

Praise the Lord. God is faithful.

I am not trying to belittle any progress that God chooses to make in healing but I think the fall of Bentley is a positive thing for the body of Christ. He's become a cancer himself and people are absolutely foolish for following him.

Amen

I remember a sermon one time from a preacher who got saved during a sermon by Jimmy Swaggart during the time of his alleged indiscretions. I remember the preacher saying that God rewards the faithful, and those who are full of faith. It didnt matter if the preacher was right, God cared enough to get the sinner right...

Just a thought

Couldn't have happened to a nicer false prophet. Looks like God gets the final BAM!

Re: Evangelist Bentley stepping down

From the article:

..."Grady also criticized GodTV for telling people that any criticism of Bentley was "demonic." GodTV carried the Lakeland meetings live every night."

How sad.
