I'm just checking to see how your 'great faith' is working for you, that's all!

Why go through that when having great faith will not make one have stones in the first place!

Re: Witchcraft = medication

And here's an article that's of interest. It appears that one can have faith in God while using medicine at the same time, and God honored their faith!

http://www.southernillinoisan.com/ar...0263090400.txt

Sise recalled a teenager severely injured in a gang beating who died soon afterward at his hospital.

The mother ``absolutely did not want to withdraw'' medical equipment despite the severity of her child's brain injuries, which ensured she would never wake up, Sise said. ``The mom was playing religious tapes in the room, and obviously was very focused on looking for a miracle.''

Claudia McCormick, a nurse and trauma program director at Duke University Hospital, said she also has never seen that kind of miracle. But her niece's recovery after being hit by a boat while inner-tubing earlier this year came close.

The boat backed into her and its propeller ``caught her in the side of the head. She had no pulse when they pulled her out of the water,'' McCormick said.

Doctors at the hospital where she was airlifted said ``it really doesn't look good.'' And while it never reached the point where withdrawing lifesaving equipment was discussed, McCormick recalled one of her doctors saying later: '``God has plans for this child. I never thought she'd be here.'''

I knew you couldn't resist! Hehehehehe!

I have asked for proof that a measure of faith produces a better outcome. All I'm getting is 'Jesus said it, argue with Him', yet there is no scripture showing that measurable faith, other than having a mustard seed grain worth, gets better results.

You seem to be arguing against there being any sort of degrees of faith. We're trying to point out that there are. When Jesus said He hadn't found so great faith, He was acknowledging that this person's faith was greater than all the faith He had found in Israel. Any way one tries to define "greater" will lead to more faith than others had. I don't think He was trying to say this person was better than everyone else, but He was certainly acknowledging the uniqueness of that person's faith.

In addition, I'm not convinced that the 'great faith' mentioned is speaking of a measurable faith, although it could be. To me, it's like telling someone you had 'a great time'. It's not measurable terms.
Maybe a study on the word used for "great" would shed more light on what He meant. I will fire up my Bible program and see if there's anything I can find on this setting of scripture.

You're making it personal to discredit him is what you're doing. Tsk tsk.

Who has said that having any kind of faith will prevent one from getting sick?

Ok. I looked up the word "great" that was used in Matt 8:10. Here is what Strong's has to say. Sister, it looks like are going to lose this one.

Greek Strong's Number: 5118
Greek Word: τοσοῦτος
Transliteration: tosoutos
Phonetic Pronunciation:tos-oo'-tos
Root: from tosos (so much, apparently from <G3588> and <G3739>) and <G3778> (including its variations)
Cross Reference:
Part of Speech: adj
Vine's Words: Great, Long, Many

Usage Notes:

English Words used in KJV:
so much 7
so great 5
so many 4
so long 2
as large 1
these many 1
so many things 1
[Total Count: 21]

from tosos (so much; apparently from <G3588> (ho) and <G3739> (hos)) and <G3778> (houtos) (including its variations); so vast as this, i.e. such (in quantity, amount, number or space) :- as large, so great (long, many, much), these many.

I have no regrets because I trust the Lord completely and I don't have to put my trust in doctors like many Apostolics do.
But a bunch of bunk.

Go find a hill to sit on and wait for God to hand deliver all the food and water you need, along with growing any shelter required.

This is the type of attitude that has government cracking down on religion because of a few idiots who refuse to take their sick kids to the hospital for easy treatments, only to watch them die and THEN proclaim in all their self centeredness that "the devil is attacking ME!". I have seen this happen all too often and to someone we knew most recently. It looks like the state of Wisconsin is enacting laws to crack down on faith based health care because of one idiot couple who refused to treat their daughter -then make the claim that they would do it again!

Rico I understood the risk, hubby said my call. My son was large 9 pounds. I'm not a big person, at 4 I was climbing the walls, I could not control my breathing this was not good for the baby, the contractions were none stop, there was no way I could go on like that, doctor agreed . Plus he was my first, so I was even more stress and scared because I've never done this before, I hung in there for 10 hours like that, I had it. After the epidural I fell asleep, woke up an hour later having him, it took only three pushes out he came. The nurse told my hubby and parents this was the frst she ever seen an epidural work that good.

With my last two I needed nothing, in and out, but I knew what was going to take place so I was much more relaxed, this let the body do it's work, in fact the last two were so easy and painless I was board...

Sadly I can say this hurt even more the labor! They wanted to see if it passed first on it's own, it did within three hours. They did the ultrasonic at lest three times to make sure it was moving not stuck, it kept a moving and you knew it.
