I thought they were tastefully done...

Tstew hits the nail on the head again. The man came on a Christian forum where people fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ and has apparently told a bold faced, needless lie. The part of this is why a grown man would feel the need the do that while discussing morality issues and Christian doctrine among other things. That calls the mans character in to question greatly.

Lying about credentials and degree achievements is a big deal in the academic world and the business world as well. Let's not spin the facts and blame it on the people who defended their university. They certainly aren't the one's responsible for this situation. There's only one person responsible for this and as of right now, he's refusing to accept responsiblity or apologize.

I'm with tstew on this one...I would imagine no one would have blinked an eye, unless he ALSO alluded to his education within posts or threads. I'm not terribly concerned about Dr. V's education, but I think his credibility will take a hit until he clears it up one way or the other.

That is so funny, when I am with my Mom and we are putting our name in for seating at a restaurant, she always uses my sisters name (Amy), or mine. Her name is Laquita...

Just to clear it up that is why I use the name Baron and 1710 refers to the year he came to NC.
So, what does this mean then? You have claim to some hoity toity kinda ancestors? Hopefully you at least inherited some moolah from being related to this Baron?????

I had heard her name from my MIL so much, that I assumed for the longest time that she was Mexican
