Exactly so .. therefore the purpose of the clause ... was to tolerate polar views on the issue of new birth ...
Again to some this was UNACCEPTABLE ... unity of doctrine would have to be established at any cost.

Exaclty! But it is followed by "until we all come into the unity of the faith."
Exactly when was that to occur, in your opinion?

Thank you for that - His Father has said the same to me every time I have seen him. They are good people and Godly people. The Bishop was very kind to me during my time with them. I have good memories and am thankful for my time with them.

I honestly don't think that happens this side of the rapture.
I think that until "perfection" comes, we see through a glass darkly and we know in part and prophesy in part.

I agree. The problem is that we have no idea whether that was really their intent or not. At least not from anything i have read on the issue.

AB onetime a friend of our friend in Muncie,came to our church to preach wearing a french cuff shirt with safety pins being used instead of cuff-links.
