Speaking of UPC changing..............we were at the movies last night, and there were several Pentecostal people there. I think that is a "standard" that must have fallen by the wayside since we left.

Yes, I think you are right about that last statement.
There is someone I know who recently was at the movies in a city where there is a famous ULTRA CON church and low and behold??? There was a bunch of their members! hair buns, long skirts, sitting in the theater

Yeah, these had all the outer standards down pat, but they were at the movies. I just hope they weren't there to see "Sex and the City". The sad part is that when some of them start going to movies, they just make the switch from "sin" to "no longer sin" and they don't use judgment as to which movies are decent and which aren't!!

I'm sure it's still preached against in the traditional churches but the youth for the most part are not adhering to it.

Re: Revisiting the "PANTS" Issue

I used to attend an ultra con church. Today we attend a different church, people were so paranoid anyone not thinking just like them on every issue was of the devil. Today my wife and I attend a moderate/conservative church. Still hold most of the dress standards, we have a TV and now wear wedding bands. My wife's hair is still long and uncut but I can't find where if she trimmed it up she'd be in sin as long as it was still long.

I think it's pretty common.

Some people put on "church clothes" to go to church.
