I was the first one actually baptized in the new building. We went over there just because we didn't have a baptistry at the time. It wasn't a service night, we just went over there to do it. My pastor Bro. Axsom baptized me.
Received the Holy Ghost on Thursday, April 3, 1997 at my home church.

Cheezperson,
I didn't realize that either you were this young or that you haven't been in church that long!

Well as Bro. Harvey says, now you know the rest of the story.

Re: What Is Your Baptism Story?
I was baptized in the Red Sea (gulf of Aqaba side) in the evening off the beach of Elat in August of 1978 just a few months after I graduated from High School in Jerusalem. The Israeli soldiers showed up in their jeep with a searchlight shined on me along with a machine gun. They didn't know what we were doing in the water in the dark so we told them. They let us go through with it (light and gun trained on us) and we were able to witness to them afterwards.

Re: What Is Your Baptism Story?
I received the Holy Ghost at 8 yrs old at my home church in San Jose, Ca. I was determined to be baptized by my uncle so 1 month later ( worrying the whole time that the rapture would take place before I could get baptized) I was baptized by my Uncle Ralph Holley in Las Cruces New Mexico at the church he pastored. This year will be my 40th year anniversary of both my HG Birthday and my Baptism!!

Re: What Is Your Baptism Story?
I was saved/born again Monday night March 28, 1955 in Union Grove, Wisconsin. I was 17 years old. My life was drastically changed. People who knew me before and after that experience still remembered the "old and new me" and a couple of comments were made about it 50 years later when I saw some of them at my 50th class reunion.
Later that summer I was baptized in a nearby lake and joined the local Baptist Church. The baptistry in the church did not work so they had to use the lake instead. Four of us were baptized that day. In September 2006 while at my 50th class reunion one of the other people who were baptized at the same time I was reminded me of it. I had forgotten the names of the others who were baptized. Before we could be baptized we had to stand up in a service and give our testimony. Then all present were given a chance to ask us any questions before there was a congregational vote as to whether we should be accepted for baptism and church membership.
Through reading the Bible and listening to some preachers on the radio (C.M. Ward, A.A. Allen, Jack Coe that I can remember) I came to the realization that there was more available to me as a believer than what was being taught at that Baptist church. I began seeking the Lord for the experience known as the Holy Ghost Baptism.
On October 27, 1955 while at a meeting at Elim Tabernacle in Milwaukee Wisconsin I was seeking the Lord for the Holy Ghost baptism when a school classmate asked me if I wanted to be baptized. I agreed. The church was under construction and was meeting in the basement. A wooden box with a plastic liner was used as a temporary baptismal tank. A garden hose was used to fill it full enough to cover me. Bro. L.R. Mitchell baptized me that night. The pastor of Elim Tabernacle was Bro. Francis Ellis. The reason Bro. Mitchell baptized me is because he was the pastor of Bethel Tabernacle in Racine, Wisconsin and the folks that brought me that night went to that church. Soon after that Bro. Mitcell left to go to North Dakota to plant a church so he was never my pastor.
I started going to Bethel Tabernacle shortly after that and on May 20, 1956 (Pentecost Sunday according to the religious calendar) I received the Holy Ghost Baptism.
