Oh, well, I don't normally participate in standards threads since we already discussed everything under the sun on FCF.

I just didn't notice with all the Tulsa stuff going.

Re: Why does it seem that men are obsessed here...

If men are more vocal about the women's standards, it's probably because they've gotten so much flak about it over the years from FCF till now!

We've argued with them, and debated with them, and told them they don't know what they're talking about...so they started learning and observing, figuring out what, who, and why.

We really shouldn't be so hard on them for this.

And on the flip side of this...

There are definitely men out there that ARE obsessed.
  • If you are concerned what kind of undergarments the female saints are wearing....HERE'S YOUR SIGN.
  • If you are trying to figure out if Sis. Bertha is wearing nylons or not....HERE'S YOUR SIGN.
  • If you are aghast at just how far that slit goes up Sis. Myrtle's leg....HERE'S YOUR SIGN.
  • If you think Sis. Floris has lost her anointing, and you blame it on her open-toed shoes she just started wearing....HERE'S YOUR SIGN.

OK now, I'm not poing to get involved in this whole discussion, other than to ask, StMark, are you implying there is POWER in how a woman dresses (other than in reference to HER relationship with God)? Because that brings up a whole new discussion!

I seriously haven't seen any posts of that nature here. I guess I just don't care anymore and skip over them.

Kinda like St Mark's Holiness Barometer Thread.

Right, because we KNOW that men have no anointing of their own accord, but it is all determined by how women dress and arrange their hair.

The MEN of the Apostolic movement aren't spiritual enough to maintain doctrine & anointing if women don't abide by certain guidelines.

AND, spiritual men can't protect their homes if their wives cut their hair, no matter how much they pray and serve God. God only looks at the woman's head, and that is the determining factor for His blessings or His curse.

Re: Why does it seem that men are obsessed here...

I'll tell you where PART of the problem lies--it lies with men who depend on spiritual, anointed, consecrated women to lead the church and home spiritually, instead of taking up that burden for themselves! So when a woman throws them for a loop with a change in behavior or if she actually backslides, they often lack the spirituality to deal with it, having neglected their own relationships with God.
