I don't know what's going on with this computer lately. Strange things. Like this. And like when I try to save a pic from CMN that says it's a jpg it wants to save it as an art file. I tried changing the settings on aol, but couldn't make it happen

Now I need you to tell me how you did this. Keith is playing a guitar solo every Sunday for the month of December. I'd like to be able to post it here (via YouTube). I have access to a video recorder. When I save it on my computer, what kind of file do I save it as?

Use Windows Movie Maker. It saves it as a WMV file, which then you can upload to YouTube.

Thanks. I will try doing that. He plays tomorrow morning, but I'll have to see if I can use the camera tomorrow. If not, it will be the next Sunday.

You have to remember that you can only upload a file that is 100mb or less in size to YouTube. Mine was WAY too big, so I had to render it to a .flv file. You need a program to do that if your file is too big or you can render the .wmv file at a lower resolution to make the file smaller. This stuff can get tricky unless you use a camera that connects to your computer. If you do that, the file will probably be small enough. I did mine with a camcorder and then rendered down the .avi file.

I'm wanting to upload a video without sound of my son field-dressing his deer. No, I'm not making it a Christmas card, but to give out to friends and relatives who want to see him doing that.....LOL!
