Good! Good story. Just the hunt experience and the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors is reward enough but when you get to take home game, that's icing on the cake, or ..... in this case more likely GRAVY!
What are some of your favorite ways to cook your venison?

Besides the tenderloins and chops which all deer hunters know to be like gold, I love venison roasts cooked slow until it falls apart with carrots, potatoes, little onion and seasonings.
I also can the meat. Canned venison is awesome!
And then theres jerky and sausage...mmmmm mmmm!
Even though we took several roasts out of my deer and she wasn't a large deer, we still had enough remaining to take in for sausage. I plan to take it in yet this week.

My favorite is chops rolled in egg and cracker crumbs and chicken fried with mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, biscuits, and some Pea-picken cake for dessert. Also cooked in mushroom gravy with the above. Also cooked in barbeque sauce with the above. Also fried as fajita meat with onions and peppers with the above! It's the season and fresh venison is on the way!!!

Where I live in South,AL. hunting abounds and I don't go, but I like eating deer steaks my brother in law usually gives us some meat.
