This is my very first post on here so here goes. Resolution 4 is NOT about control. It's about heaven and hell! Really this whole thing is stupid. If we didn't have a bunch of lying hypocrite backslidden preachers in the UPC this wouldn't even be an issue. Futhermore, if all the UPC preachers that break the AS and have TV's in their homes would do what is right and NOT vote then there is no way this resolution would pass. It's sad the directionthe org is going. Just my thoughts (and the thoughts of a whole lot of other Godly men).

No I don't think so. The limp liberals have been parading around in a gleeful way embracing their beliefs while conservative men have hung back a little trying to do the right thing with the right spirit. But you know as well as I know, that the second that we say anything about liberals and their wants of the devilvision, that we are mean spirited, behind the times (instead of because of the times), we are not openminded about reaching the lost, and just a bunch of old fuddy duddies that live with our heads in the sand.
It is time for someone to stand up and be accounted for. Otherwise we are giving it to the libs. Why are they always the ones with the "right" spirit. If they don't like the org, why don't they leave. Their spirit is "right"???? Are not they the ones sowing discord amoung the brethern? Are not they the source of contention? Are not they the origin of this confusion? My bible says mark them that cause division amoung you.

They sign stating that they don't have a tv in their home and they have PREMIUM CABLE hooked up to their homes and have for years. No apologies here friends: they are liars. They should not vote. Ferd, I don't think it is about what I say, c'mon! Seriously! They agreed to the constituents of the UPC. Did they not??? If they don't like it, why don't they leave instead of lying about their tv status and trying to push it on everyone else?

I have more respect for a MAN that will come out and speak his mind than for a man that will hide behind his curtains in his home watching tv and then sign his A.S. stating that he does not have a tv.
My LL books have less cursing (rarely any) than your tv does.

i am not a pastor, for the last 15 years, i left the upc because of some other things, not doctrine. I would just like to say that i think it a shame that it has come down to whether people have a tv or not as to whether they are saved or not, i still agree with my father, and grandfather, 120 years of ministry between them, it is a mans heart, that makes him what he is, if you are a pig then tv is a problem, if it is to you what it is to me, a news source then there you go, just my humble opinion, dt

Along the lines of you leaving can you post an "exit letter" or does one exist?
I have often responded to questions about my departure in the past. It had nothing to do with anything the UPC stood for as opposed to my poisitions, although I disagreed with some things all along. But I practiced tolerance. I simply left because a door closed for me in one church where I ministered, and the only open door the Lord provided was an independent Oneness church. So I left. I was actually willing to remain in the UPC if something else in it would open up for me. But after seeking the Lord about the issue, nothing did, except outside the UPC.
