Eddie is a teacher more than a preacher, so he never really fit into that mold. He never gets loud, but the words he delivers are powerful and anointed and life changing. I think there is room for both in the body of Christ, but it seems like preaching way overshadows teaching in OP ranks.

My dad was, in my opinion one of the greatest Bible Teachers I ever heard. In fact, he was much like Eddie in that even in his evangelistic preaching he was ALWAYS teaching! His eighth grade education never diminished but always enhanced his teaching in that he was a communicator at anyone's level.
I have sat in the room with Dad and some of the renowned UPC Bible teachers and watched him twist their tails in knots on subject matter on which they disagreed!
Others from the past:
B E Echols (if you could stand the strong meat)
Robert Sabin in his day
Bro. J T Pugh
Floyd Odom
E L Holley was my favorite from my days at TBC, closely followed by Bro. Anderson.
And, although I have never heard him, I imagine Scott Graham would be a great teacher as he is a great preacher.
