I have not been to Bible School.

I have never set foot on the campus of one.

I have friends who feel very differently concerning this question, and there are good minds and good hearts on both sides.

I personally don't think our Bible Schools have played a huge role in the drift of the organization. They are just one of many cogs in the wheel, and are affected by a lot of factors.

2.The overwhelming and somewhat arrogant, in my opinion, obsession with the idea that the UPC must "reach the world." We have gotten so drunk on this 180 proof liquor called "Revival" that we have forgotten to preach much else at our meetings.

I believe in revival if I believe in anything--I believe we are called to be witnesses. But this idea that God has to have us (the UPC) to reach the world for Him is killing us.

Can the opposite be true ... are human egos being bruised ......because "time honored traditions" may need to go by the wayside because the Church is passionately seeking to obey the Great Commission in these last days?

I personally have just a little problem with a $25.00 charge to go hear preaching. If the offerings do not take care of the expenses, then they probably should just close down shop. To charge leaves faith outside of the door.
