Your reaction proves my point. Women aren't usually 'stimulated' visually. Often what they see disgusts them.

If it helps you. But I already did. Please read what I wrote again.

You are certainly free to take that meaning from it, since it is demonstrating a principle, not offering a commandment.

However, a man is visually stimulated by the shape and form of a woman's leg and thigh, not just the sight of bare skin in that region. Tight jeans are designed to reveal just that: a woman's shape and form. The skin is covered, but the flesh is revealed to a man's eye.

Godly people are willing to make an effort to not be or not make occasion for their brother to stumble.

It is a principle, not a legality.

I know that the vast majority of women who pulled on a pair of pants this morning weren't doing so with plans of seduction or enticement. But they also did so in ignorance of why these garments even exist for them.
And all that being said, Jesus made it very clear it's "YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY KEEP YOURSELF IN LINE STOP BLAMING OTHER"S FOR YOUR OWN FAULTS SINFUL NATURE."! Jesus went even further and said if your eyes offend you pluck it out. In another words get yourself under control, stop passing the buck !

Just a thought on a side issue. Wondering if cosmetic surgery is 'ok' if it is meant to make someone LESS attractive and thinking (guessing) that many of the more conservative among us may actually think that.

That is a very interesting thought. I'm not sure that I've even heard anyone's opinion on enhancements either. Is that even addressed in churches?

Also, just a little side note - - a reduction sometimes actually helps a situation and could end up making the person more attractive.

Last if you really want separate your self from this world by how you dress stop wearing underwear , bra's, socks, shoes etc..These are things that sinful ungodly people around the world wear... As I said, to make a whole doctoring out of a lie and call it a truth unto heaven or hell in my book is a sin and will lead you straight to hell faster then wearing a pair of pants!
Whew! It's a good thing I didn't!

Nevertheless, the teaching originated with and for people who wanted to be helpful.

And nevertheless, it can be said taken an untruth and turning it into a so called truth and making it into a heaven or hell issues and packaging it up and creating whole new gospel is not a helpful thing! It's a lie no matter how you try to sugar coat it!

I would have to be quite graphic in my explanation, so I'll defer this to someone else.

The introduction? You mean like when they 'girded up their loins'?

I think the idea of pants has been around for a very long time. There are biblical examples of men, who for particular reasons, would pull their robes up to free their legs for strenuous actions.

I think pants just slowly evolved as a means of comfort and ease of freedom. Kinda like the same reasons why women no longer wear corsets.
