Stephen--Is this picture for real, or are they posing for your benefit??? Have they really made a total turnaround in their lives? I find this amazing!!!
I thought this same thing but then it came to me "so what?". They're not doing it in a mocking fashion (if the WERE posing) and are showing nothing but respect.

And Dice start with "D" which rhymes with "P" which stands for POOL!

I think it's both actually! The pictures, both in our tribute to them, and theirs to us, are meant to be somewhat "fun". I think the words are what you really need to read... they are very accurate and written whole-heartedly in both cases.

The Meeks call us regularly and we always talk about the Lord. Tony is always excited about his renewed faith in Jesus and the bible studies they are having (with a Spirit filled group I might add). That is very much for real. Please continue to pray for the Meeks and Hoover families, we both have been enthused by the work of the Holy Spirit through our experience on Wife Swap!

Oh and the pies! Tish had never baked pies before Wife Swap! She has now made them several times and is baking several for the viewing party on the 23rd. As a former old order Mennonite, this speaks volumes to me. LOL! They are definetly moving in the right direction!

Funny! Kristin is the one that introduced the dice during the show - that is why they are on the table - as a "tribute" to Kristin introducing wholesome family fun. At the Hoover house we always have many games going on. We were shocked when the directors told us all "Parker Bro." games were off limits for copywrite reasons. We were left with dice and checkers... so that is why the dice are in there..

Steve, do you have plans for the 23rd also? Or did I miss that post?

BTW, I would have had no idea who that pic was of. They look so totally different, even the kids! They look great!

Nothing big going on at this end, my family may not watch it together since my wife will likely be with Emily at Nationals for Jr Bible quizzing and I won't be able to miss work and be with her. We have a vacation planned later in the week including New York, Canada and then we will be speaking at a church in IL. (the week after the show re-airs) .

The pic is great. I think it is saying Tish now has a new interest in cooking and baking, and the family prays and now attends bible study. It does not mean they always dress like this.... but that is OK too!

Tribute to the Hoover Family

ABC’s Wife Swap was a lot of fun. People ask us all the time “would you do it again” our answer is always “absolutely”. The Hoover family has made a big impact on our family. We believe that God sent them into our lives.

We learned a lot of things while doing the show. In Texas, Tony and Kristin were sitting up late and drinking coffee, talking about rock music, singing praise and worship songs and studying the Bible. In Missouri Tish, and Steve where drinking coffee, talking about life and hoping that Tony and Kristin were getting along as well as they were. Tish really bonded with Emily, Grace and Alivia and talks to them by phone often.

Would the Hoover family be our friends if not for Wife Swap? Probably not, because people tend to stay close to those just like themselves. That is why this experience was so powerful. So many people judge on outward appearances and miss meeting some of the greatest people in the world. The Hoovers are great people. They are an excellent representation of what it means to be Christians and if more Christians were like them, God would be seen by non-believers in a positive light.

Although 3 Kisses is doing great and music will always be a big part of the Meeks family, there have definitely been some positive changes in our home. Since the swap we are attending a Bible study and Tish has been making home made pies.

Tony & Tish Meeks
Lord! This is awesome, Brother!!!!!!
