Please don't go. Your posts serve a very useful purpose here. No doubt there are readers who don't post (we call them "lurkers") who find great comfort in a man who will stand up for what he believes.

From my perspective you are a living stereotype that brings great joy to my life through your posts. One of my primary gripes with old time Oneness Pentecost is the self rightousness and judgmentalism that is prevelant and you demonstrate so clearly how one can be that way and be totally clueless to it. So, again, I ask that you reconsider and stay. You make my task so much easier!

Being tolerant means he is allowed to post here and contend for his view. Being tolerant does not mean you ignore things you disagree with and don't discuss them and contend for what is right.

No one has asked him to leave he is the one that apparently can only survive in an "amen corner".

There are many here who share a lot of his conservative point of view. They are just more tactful and judicious in how they express it.

He comes across as holier than thou to not only libs like myself but to much of his own org.

To brag about how his son wanted to leave the UPC Youth Camp tells a whole lot about where he is coming from. I mean in attitude and spirit, not being conservative.

I am not being mean to "Whole Harted"...I have expressed an enormous amount of tolerance for him and still do...

I just hate these, "I'm taking my ball and bat and going home because I got picked on" departures....

I say stay and fix the things that turned people against you...

NOT CHANGE YOUR VIEWS OR BELIEFS...BUT IT MIGHT NOT HURT TO CHANGE THE WAY YOU PRESENT THEM!!!!!!!

I found that out on the Ventura Camp thread...I didn't go slinking off in some farewell thread just because I made a bunch of folks mad...I changed the way I said things and am still around!

What is so wrong with wanting to leave a UPC Youth Camp? Most of the time you don't even get to go swimmimg.
