Bro. Romain...
I talked to him last night... he remembered me preaching at his Church some 20 plus years ago.

I'm having a hard time figuring out there I preached last week!

Bishop Epley,

I do, genuinely, appreciate your concern. I'm taking a rest the first part of this coming week at a lake here in Kentucky.

I don't have health insurance (part of the problem) but I do have really good life insurance. That, however, is the one insurance I'm hoping that will remain unutiized.

I am concerned too many men that are used of the Lord forget they ALSO have an obligation to their families and the body can only take so much. Just a couple of days in the middle of preaching with everything you have like we do won't suffice. Ease up on your schedule before your body makes you ease up maybe for good. Just talking to a hardheaded preacher from another hardheaded preacher I know how you are remember I am a preacher too. Have a good camp. No more advise from the resident nanny.

I am 56 years old and worn out my zeal overoad my better judgment if someone would hav e told me what I told Steadfast I would have thought they don't have faith. But time and milage has slowed me down. Before my wife's wreck I was preaching out a couple times a month traveling from here to yon. But I found out the hard way they are still having meetings without me. But while nursing my wife that last 4 years I have learned what things are important. My good church suffered I was gone so much doing the Lord's work. Then I realized this is where the Lord called me so get with it. Do I preach out yes I do. But I have learned to say no or maybe next year. I am leaving next week for a preaching vacation I guess. I will be in Steadfast's back yard. Driving so I am going a couple days early and taking my time coming back. I will be preaching 6 times at 4 churches while gone. and will be in 3 services I am not preaching. But this is not the norm now it was like this for years. But I have learned though a slow learner. Everything will go right on after I die and only folks my death will really impact is my family and church family that is the facts as Joe Friday would say.

I have a technical question regarding Kentucky Campmeeting. Perhaps someone from KY can answer this question.

Who supplies the snakes they handle at Campmeeting? Do the individual churches bring their own or are they provided by the district?

Is there a district position for "official snake handler"?

Elder, I don't mind your advise! I have grown to appreciate people who care enough to have a genuine concern.

Love your guts...
