I'm hoping that the greedy guy who ate that $400 lobster is reading here on AFF. He doesn't need to tell us he is. But I'm hoping that God might use this discussion to bring him under conviction for miss-using GOD's money.

In my opinion, ordering a $400 lobster is akin to stealing from the Lord. Think of all the things for God that could have been accomplished with that money. Now it's just down his gullet. Sad, just sad!

Ok now for country comedy.
A couple had just gotten married and they were driving outside of Jackson, MS.
The young wife looked at her husband ,and said honey we're married now we can go alot further ,the youngman smiled and said yes I know.
So he drove her to Memphis.

Is this over the top in your opinion ????

I will say that His GOD

IS HIS BELLY ?

the above reminds me of the following:

Last fall I recieved a phone call from an
Evangelist and he informed me that they
would be coming thru our fair City on a Saturday.

They would like to meet with us, maybe just for lunch,
because they were scheduled to be in another State
for the Sunday services - We set the lunch time frame
from 11:00 A.M / 2:00 P.M. thus allowing for any traffic
problem. I made sure he had our Home Phone Number,
and my cell number and told him to call "collect' if he
ran into or had any problems.

When I questioned him about what type of food
they usually ate To Which He Replied
"I Eat Lobster and She Eats Snow Crabs" -

We fixed a real nice southerm meal for them; Fried
Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Hominy,
Collard Greens, Corn on the Cob, Sweet Potatos,
Poke Salad, Sliced Tomatos, Fried Okra, Sweet Iced Tea,
Craklin Cornbread, Cantelope, Crimson Sweet Watermelon
AND Homemade Apple Pie and I had even made out an
Offering Check for them -

11:00 A.M came and went ao since we hadn't heard any
more from them and had not recieved any phone calls
we set the Table at 12:00 Noon Expecting them to arrive
at any moment for lunch -

12:00 Noon came and went, 1:00 P.M., 2:00 P M, 3:00 P M,
4:00 pm, 5:00 P M and finally 6:00 p m arrived with no word
from that good Evangelist - I told the !st Lady that he must
have realized that we do not have a card with the 'upci' !

I apologized to her for all of the trouble that she had went
thru {without any help from me} making that beautiful lunch
spread and she soothed me because I had abruptly canceled
all my Saturday plans and stayed around the house just to
entertain this Evangelist who was merely passing thru probably
seeking a free lunch & Gas Money.

We had already gone to bed Saturday Night when I recieved
a phone call, It Was Them and they were about 60 miles away.
I scoured my brain, trying to think what was open, I told him
to go south on I-459 from I-20 and I would meet then at the
Exxon Station at the US 280 Exit because nearby there would be
Hardees, Burger King, Taco Bell, McDonalds and Jack in the Box -

They arrived and we fed them and I listened in amazement while
he told me that they did not leave until after 3:00 P M and had
just driven over 400 miles to our town. Then he told me that they
were going to minister in a church about 200 miles away on that
Sunday Morning and Sunday Night . That Church had Guaranteed
reservations and paid for a room for them for Saturday & Sunday -

I simply said
" Do You Realize That It Is Already Sunday " ?
as we said our goodbyes
and parted
I wondered if they made it to the Church On Time
AND
If They DID
Just What Kind Of A Sermon
Would He Be Able To Preach -

JUST WONDERING

Maybe I'm asking a question that I shouldn't be asking... but, what were they doing in a place that served meals like this in the first place... what was a hamburger? $50.00? Comeone... I think the finger might be pointed at the wrong place... what kind of place was this anyways... I've never been in a restrant that had anything on the menu that was this price... I'm sure we wasn't suppose to think of this...

Better yet. Just feed him at the house like we do. Fix him a good home made supper and let him eat it or go buy his own.
