Better not use cedar to build your house, then paint it or hang anything from its walls.

Honestly, I think you had some common sense reservations about Trump. However, you've fallen into the rut of defending him without taking the time to really contemplate the opposition's accusations of him. For example, Trump revoked the press credentials of the Washington Post. Why? They do not give him favorable reporting. He's also made statements about other media outlets that criticize him or who post stories about things that perhaps should be looked into. Friend, that's FASCIST. Do you not remember how Hitler himself denigrated the press and began to shut them down in Germany? Consider Trump's position on shutting off various portions of the internet, talk of walls, domestic task forces tasked with rounding up illegals, etc., etc., etc., etc..... I know it might seem a jump for you, but consider all these things together. He's a fascist. Period. End of subject. He even called all the major news agencies together, rebuked them, put them down, and then tried to bully them into reporting according to his wishes. The man's pattern of thought is fascist. Why defend it? Why not just accept that this guy is trying to appear strong.... but he's exhibiting fascist thought patters. All we need is a major national crisis and it will hit the fan and I honestly think you'll see instantly why so many of us call Trump a fascist Nazi. If you thought Bush was bad.... this guy will be draconian. I honestly can't see how you can't see this.

So simply, get critical of him. Consider the thought patterns....off hand remarks....subtle answers to questions about policies. I truly believe you'll see that there's more substance to the accusation of being a fascist than you realize.

And to top it all off, you call me a fake Christian?
LOL!

Look, I lean left politically. I've been called fake Christian, had my faith questioned, etc. for years. I even had to leave my church over it. If you leaned liberal on economics and social policy.... being called a fake Christian would be a constant barrage. Do I really think you're a fake Christian? In all honesty, I don't. However, I do think that many policies that Christians favor just because they are "conservative" are antithetical to the Christian position. For example, Christians favor family, fatherhood, and love. What Christian would therefore stand against mandatory Paternal leave for fathers of new born children??? Oh, those who could care less about the importance others might place on being a father and who only praise and support the right of business. Almost every advanced nation on earth has Paternal leave. It's a fatherhood right. Why would a "Christian" oppose it??? Sure, the business owner might balk at it. But in reality, he'll have happier workers with a deeper involvement in family. It will pay off in the end. Policies like these are liberal, but fit perfectly within the Christian ethos. To oppose them just because the conservative position is to oppose them is to be more "conservative" than "Christian".

Obviously, it's all Bush's fault.

I don't even like burning it in the fireplace. It sparks too much.

Gee, thanks for finally noticing and acknowledging. Oh, and I accept your unwritten apology. You're forgiven.

You need an insert stove with glass doors in your fireplace. You will enjoy the crackle and pop much more then. You won't loose so much of the heat out of the chimney either.

All I saw was some dude trying to justify teaching baloney to his kids. You titled the thread as if Santa exists. He doesn't. Christian leader? Nope. Catholic.

I didn't read your overly long posts. They start to read like adults in Peanuts cartoons after a while. I'm like Snoopy scratching my head.

Quite frankly, you sound like a whining child.

Yeah, I close the doors when it's throwing sparks, otherwise they're open. It's not very efficient, just for fun.
