It seems to me the younger preachers preach the longest.

It amazes me too what people find as "profound" or "eating steak".

One night a pastor was saying "you can't go around cussin' all week and come in on Sunday expecting to find God"

Someone behind us said... "Uhm... that's good."

I thought.. Uh... was that a shocker to you? Did you find that profound and life changing.

It's funny sometimes buying a tape of the service and realizing all the shoutin' going on that there really wasn't much to shout over in the sermon...

It would seem that modern Pentecostal culture promotes "screamer"
preachers. Perhaps some think that volume is the same as anointing?

There's a good reason folks can't remember the message preached the night before.. they are so busy shoutin' they forgot to listen...

I heard preachers that folks have said wow that man can really preach and then you hear then and you can't understand hardly anything the brother was trying to say ,it was just alot of screaming and hollering.
