After being a family unit for over 24 years, it's an adjustment for sure. I went through the "what's my role in life now" phase the first couple years and this past year, I've settled into knowing my role is to be ME, love God, be there for my kids still and enjoy the rest of my life.
IF there is someone that God has for me to share the rest of my life, then whoohoo, an extra benefit. If not, I'll still be good.

And that, my dear is the million dollar statement. I absolutely felt the same way. There are so many people who do know know what their role is and they need to find that before they go looking for someone else.

Tamor,
God knows me inside and out and God knows what I need to hear and I do believe that I'll just know. It is just like anything else in your life...if you have to force it...it isn't right.
Kind of reminds me of that 70's song...
If it don't fit..
Don't force it,
Just relax and let it be.
Just because that's the way you want it...
Doesn't mean that it will be so.
Many times you have to listen to your body in these matters also. I am not talking about physical attraction...I was in an abusive relationship once and I didn't know with my head that I was being controlled, setup, manipulated, "groomed" if you would...but the anxiety I felt when with this person caused me to pick at my arm and lower back until I almost scarred it. My head was saying that he is the one even though outside my box, my heart was in love with being in love, but my body was saying...get the blank out of Dodge:sshhh.
God was good and gave me a strong support system and I made it through but it is tough when you give your heart to someone who does not belong there. I heard one preacher put it like this..."You might have thought you were with Prince Charming but he turned out to be Freddie Kruger, and now you have your own Nightmare on Elm Street![Stick Out Tongue](http://www.apostolicfriendsforum.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif) oloroid. "
My supervisor at work..Ph.D told me not to date anyone unless I do a criminal background check, a thorough psychological evaluation/testing, and then pray and fast 40 days and nights! And she is Jewish! LOL
Blessings, Rhoni

This unnamed minister also said...to give the men equal time: Some men think they have found a beautiful princess when in fact they found a Sybil and don't know which of her 16 personalities they have to deal with that day!

I heard Bishop Jakes say something similiar to this once. He was referring to both sides, though!
