Ted Cruz will be visiting Kim Davis today in jail, but he will not be attending the afternoon rally with Mike Huckabee. Apparently not even Cruz or Huckabee are willing to put aside politics for an hour or two to stand united against judicial tyranny. Disappointing.
Curiously absent, especially considering this is happening in his home state, is KY Senator Rand Paul. While he's said her jailing is absurd and that he stands with her, there's been no word that he's met with her or will meet with her in a show of support.
It would have been incredible to have Huckabee, Cruz and Paul all at the rally today, to bring more media attention to it. Again, disappointing that political egos won't allow this to happen -- at least not with Huckabee and Cruz. Paul may have other events planned which would keep him away. Cruz has no excuse, since he's there to visit her today.

Looks like the judge is trying to avoid photo ops with the presidential candidates Cruz and Huckabee today.

They couldn't afford for this thing to grow during an election cycle (Cruz visit and Huckabee's rally), being the governor is a Democrat. Otherwise, she would still be in jail.
