So the guy gets asked a question and he decided to go on a foreign policy rant? LOL. What a joke. He could have answered the question.

I'm not saying he's my first choice, as I really don't have one yet, but his response was correct!

What a joke that you didn't comprehend his statement.
Here is what he said:
"Look, I’m a Christian. Scripture commands us to love everybody and what I have been talking about, with respect to same-sex marriage, is the Constitution which is what we should all be focused on. The Constitution gives marriage to elected state legislators. It doesn’t give the power of marriage to a president, or to unelected judges to tear down the decisions enacted by democratically elected state legislatures."
There is your answer or do you not understand he is referring to the 10th Amendment - state's rights?
Would you have been happy if he got in the weeds with these idiots? He sticks with policy and doesn't play games.

It was the correct and perfect answer. The only two I do not want to see get close to a nomination are Jeb Bush and Lindsay Graham (who never will get close).
Ted Cruz has been steady on the issues. I like him a lot. But, I don't believe the GOP Establishment will allow him to win.
However, I see that Hillary is going to chose Julian Castro for her VP. That means she expects either Cruz or Rubio to get that pick. Being that Castro and his mother support Amnesty and his mother founded the racist LaRaza, they are going to drill it down hard. She has already picked an illegal for her director of Latino outreach. Bold stuff. She is going to be much worse than Obama.
I don't believe that Scott Walker could debate her very well. I think Ted Cruz could handle her very, very well.

Keep in mind, the GOP establishment did not want Ronald Reagan either.
In a debate, I don't think any of the GOP candidates can compete with him and Hillary certainly cannot.
Like him or not, Ted is very intelligent.
Alan Dershowitz, a liberal law professor of Ted Cruz said the following:
“Off-the-charts brilliant. And you know, liberals make the terrible mistake, including some of my friends and colleagues, of thinking that all conservatives are dumb. And I think one of the reasons that conservatives have been beating liberals in the courts and in public debates is because we underestimate them. Never underestimate Ted Cruz. He is off-the-chart brilliant. I don’t agree with his politics.”

I read somewhere that there is possibly going to be a debate between the Moderate (Jeb Bush) against a true conservative (Ted Cruz) to settle the primary. This poll might be a glimpse that it could be true. Of course, we know the wind blows in many directions throughout the process. So, we shall see...
Cruz ties hometown star Rubio in Florida straw poll

Turns out we were preoccupied with the wrong GOP presidential grudge match in Florida.
It wasn’t a Bush/Rubio race of hometown heroes that is dominating the narrative coming out of Tuesday’s Florida Family Policy Council Straw Poll, but a dead heat between Sen. Marco Rubio and Texas product Sen. Ted Cruz.

The media is being very compliment in the GOP's wants. You rarely hear anything about Senator Cruz, he doesn't even rate on the polls I've seen elsewhere. Can't be sure, but I wouldn't be surprised they don't put his name on some of these polls.
He will mop the floor with which ever candidate he debates. He's not easily riled and he has a command of the facts that will shake Hillary out of her high end, 1%er shoes.
I sincerely hope it's Cruz she's worried about with her picking Castro for VP.
I can't imagine America will survive a Clinton/Castro reign of terror.

This is what it would be - a reign of terror.
Good news though:
Super PACs backing Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz have raised more than double the PAC backing presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

Re: Sen. Ted Cruz Makes It Official
Y'all are focusing on Clinton, but I've been telling you she's not going to make it through the primary. The reason her fundraising is low is because Dems aren't excited about her and honestly do not want her. They're waiting until O'Malley makes his announcement in June. I'm making the prediction that he's going to trounce her early, though she won't give up without a nasty fight.
It's going to be O'Malley vs the Republican field.
