This is now the 3rd attorney to ask questions...on the first day!

One thing I love about trials is, in most cases, you get to hear testimony from everyone involved. Listening to the 911 op answer O'mara's questions as to what his opinion was regarding GZ's statements -- if he was concerned -- was important for the Jury to hear.

I thought it was interesting the pros allegation that GZ's head injury was only a centimeter or two and didn't require stitches...and that GZ wanted to return to work right away. I would think that if he's getting his head bashed to the point where he's in fear of his life that it would 1) cause more significant injury; and 2) he wouldn't be going back to work the next day or two.

I had to leave for a second and it appears there's a sidebar, recess or something because the feed is just showing the state seal.

If GZ waited till that point would he be able to draw a weapon?

During this, the Defense is accusing TM's father of cursing at a friend of GZ in the courtroom. Defense called the friend to the stand for questioning...the baldheaded Pros is on cross.

Of course they didn't get TM's father on the stand...ridiculous. Judge doesn't find it a big deal. She admonished everyone to keep their comments to themselves.

This guy wasn't going to be a witness. He didn't even want to testify about it, but the defense team called him to the stand in a hearing to try and admit GZ's parents. He was just a friend of GZ who was there trying to support him. It's just a thug being a thug, IMO.

Hearing in process. Listening to calls from GZ to 911. Not sure the relevance. I guess the Pros is wanting to show the number of times GZ called and how frustrated he was the night he called about TM. I'm not following their thinking on this, simply because GZ was the neighborhood watch leader, so of course he's going to contact the police if he sees anything suspicious. He even mentioned in one of the calls that a couple officers had been out to the complex for training or something and advised to call about anything suspicious or out of the ordinary.

Hearing's over, back to the trial with the Jury coming in now.

Not seeing really anything spectacular so far. I am thinking the Prosecution is wishing there witnesses would tell something that would really stick out but that hasn't happened yet..
