While I agree I have to take my hat off to a guy that lives and DIES what he preaches. I heard for the last 2 weeks he has been in horrid pain. But he stuck with it until the end.

Yes, My phone rang several times in the last hour people wanting us to know...He was a trooper! I did not believe all he believed but I agree with Elder Epley he stuck with it until the end...
My heart goes out to his family and church...He was a friend of ours and preached for us once here in the north...

I wouldn't want to discuss it here Sis. Alvear... since this is dedicated to Rico's Former Pastor..

I do NOT believe in this teaching although my wife was raised in this type of teaching and no one can really understand the mentality of this unless there is some personal involvement. These folks have their babies at home and have had many heartbreaking situations and yes deaths. So my point is if you are going to preach this to your people and them or their families suffer and even die then the honorable thing to do is to stay with it when it comes your turn. That is what this Elder did he preached it and lived it and finally died his testimony. I hope that makes this clearer? Again I do NOT believe or practice this and encourage our folks to go to the doctor.

just pm me or start a thread..thanks...

Did you happen to know Elder Campbell?
Another pastor friend of mine passed away but don't know if any here knew him: Brother Archer from Louisiana. I think he may have been ALJC but I might be wrong.
So many good men are leaving us. May God raise up more young men to fill the shoes of these great men that have departed from us.
We just talked with Brother Campbell at the Nashville convention...
