Yes, I was. It's a weak point, though, I have to admit. There isn't much agreement on what things are or are not sins, wouldn't you agree? Well, it's debatable how much agreement, I suppose, but since it is not universally agreed upon (to whatever extent), it must be true that some lists are wrong. Maybe all of them are wrong. Regardless, nobody can possibly know (IMO) if their own list is correct, in God's view. Some people are sinning without knowing it, and some people think they are forbidden from doing somethings that God couldn't care less about.
So, anyway, yeah. That's it. Not that it negates M the D's post. Just that it makes it impossible to follow, precisely, and know that you are not disfellowshipping the right set of people. That's all.
But like I said, it wasn't for you. You never get my points.

You didn't make a point, until now, you simply just stated the obvious which isn't a point.
That's like saying the Sun is bright...duh! But do you have a point?

My Best Friend who was GAY told me about Jesus, Took me to church and from there i leaned about GOD. He was struggling with being Gay for years. He spoke in tongues and walked with God the best he could. He later backslid and came back, AND HE HAS BEEN DELIVERED, NO LONGER HAS THOS GAY FEELINGS AND HES FREE.
Please know that I am deeply sorry. I am sorry for the pain and hurt many of you have experienced. I am sorry that some of you spent years working through the shame and guilt you felt when your attractions didn’t change. I am sorry we promoted sexual orientation change efforts and reparative theories about sexual orientation that stigmatized parents. I am sorry that there were times I didn’t stand up to people publicly “on my side” who called you names like sodomite—or worse. I am sorry that I, knowing some of you so well, failed to share publicly that the gay and lesbian people I know were every bit as capable of being amazing parents as the straight people that I know. I know nothing more about this situation or Alan Chambers than this press release you have posted here.
However reading between the lines I am guessing that Alan Chambers is gay and has now lost his struggle to become heterosexual so is abandoning the ministry.
