I'd be interested in knowing what that is.

Raised almost $40K in one night. They had a display of the blueprints of the church we are about to start building for people to view so they could see what they "invested" in. They also had the drama team perform for entertainment, etc... Just let me know if you want me to get info from her-- and I will ask her for details for you.
Tina, how did you get so nice?

I'd love to have the info!

Back in Austin about twice a year wen all of the retail stores do inventory they would look to the church for workers.

People would volunteer to work in those stores conducting inventory for a day or two (seems like sometimes it was overnight while the stores were closed) then donated the earnings to the church.

Silent Saturday .... worked really well w/ our youth group in NY ... we raised over 5 g's ... so my Sunday School kids could go to Youth Congress ...

it works just like a Walk-a-thon ... the participants vow to keep silence for 6-8 hours ... they get sponsors ... then we got together ... held a Nickolodeon style Olympic tournament ... with goofy competitions ...
... food .... and devotion time .... IT WAS COOL.

MOST OF ALL IT WAS HILARIOUS ... and effective.

There was a church in Norfolk,Va and The Youth group Restored a 1966 Mustang.

The Youth pastor and the young men did a good job too.

Then they parked the Mustang in at an Autozone and sold raffle tickets to win the car.

I was UPC then......I like old cars.....:sshhh I bought a ticket.

Nothing wrong w/ asking people to donate straight up ....

My dad wanted to do this idea ...THE TREE OF LIFE ....

the church wound up doing something different w/ bricks ...but similar in concept ...

THEY RAISED OVER $ 110,000 IN PLEDGES AFTER HIS PASSING TO PAY OFF THE CHURCH MORTGAGE ......

The 300-leaf Tree of Life pictured above is a classic design that allows for a wide range of presentation shapes and accommodates a large number of donor names. This carefully crafted Tree of Life can provide the perfect way to:
  • Recognize contributors to a building fund or fund-raising campaign
  • Honor contributors to an endowment fund
  • Salute individuals or groups for outstanding service or achievements
  • Create a tasteful memorial
A new alternative Tropical Tree Read some of the success stories
The Tree of Life is so successful because the donor's personalized message that will be on display forever. The Tree of Life's trunk is magnificent cast bronze. Its leaves are miniature brass plaques that we custom engrave for mounting on sculpted plexiglass backgrounds. The result is elegant and economical.

Let Cave Company show you how to enhance your fundraising efforts with the Tree of Life. For example, with a 200-leaf tree with each leaf selling for $500.00, would earn $100,000.00!

A modest investment in a Tree of Life has returned as much as 1000 %! You determine the value of each leaf to meet your fund-raising goals.
Example for this 300-leaf Tree:
  • Each leaf @ $200 x 300 leaves = $ 60,000
  • Each leaf @ $500 x 300 leaves = $150,000
Who says Money doesn't grow on Trees???
