I will say that some things jump out of me, now that some authors names are attached.

CORE VALUES as being Financial. I will just say one of the men got up in Columbus and told a group of people to withhold their funds from HQ until the Resolution 6 was worked out. Sounds like a real call to unity and getting on the right track.

FAMED DIVERISTY being respected and valued. Get real!! If you are not one of two camps in this district you are NOT respected or valued....in fact, you are talked about as going to HELL and have pastors saying to save as many people out of that church as you can...because they are heading for HELL.

DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT resigning due to mounting pressures within the fellowship. One only has to look at WHO was causing the pressures...and somewhere you find yourself looking at groups the author(s) belong to. CONFLICT...there is conflict when you purposely divide yourself and pull away from District events...and then out of the same mouth call for unity and an end to CONFLICT.

Reading this....it was worded so NW-esque. If it was sent before DC (which it was), it speaks to the motive.

I hope these men get behind Abbey with the same commitment and ferver they are writing about here.

*gasp*
I would say he is definately more conservative than moderate....according to Western District standards.

This letter has put them in a precarious situation SoCal ... which I think makes it impossible for them to dig themselves out of .....

It will be part of the "documentation" and "victimization" used to justify a split if Resolution 6 passes ... this along w/ the BH FMD scandal ... are going to be part of the chips ... when everyone has to play their hand in Sept.

Starting to look like Tampa will be THE EVENT instead of Columbus.

Furthermore, DA...

I think it does put the authors in a very precarious situation....as they wrote so fervently of the need to get behind whomever the DS is and iron out things. It will be very interesting to see if these 3 men, step up to the plate and do what they have asked others to do.

They won't. People like this tend to point out flaws and gripe about things, but when it comes to practicing what they preach . . . never gonna happen.
