My niece texted me today, she told me, while she was driving. I stopped texting her and told her to wait to call me or text me when she was done driving. Dangerous stuff, texting and driving!

Re: Drive, Text, Go For A Swim...

Nothing irritates me more than to be driving behind someone, especially slower than the posted speed limit, and see this little rectangular box peeping up through their rear window.

What I find funny is the very people guilty of TWD (texting while driving) quickly shoot back, "Well, it's the same thing when you're changing the radion station." Not really. One can see the radio station they want in an instant, yet reading a text requires lengthy looking at the phone to read what's being said.

If my text alert sounds, more likely than not I will ignore it 'til I'm parked. As a matter of fact, I'd just assume do away with texting altogether, especially for reasons shown in the pic...

I drive better than 90% of the population no matter what I'm doing. Fact. But yes, it's clearly a bad idea.

Driving and texting is as bad as drunk driving. Don't ask...
