I think that is a problem for some people. Do our words and actions live up to the meaning of "Christian". And why do we have to define ourselves anyway? Paul talked about this, I am of Paul, I am of Apollo. We should be saying we are of Christ.

Right. I have mixed feeling about both those terms too.

I'm about to write some stuff about this, but the word, "Christian" is just as objectionable in pop-society as the word, "Pentecostal" is in evangelical Christianity, and it's "pop-society" that I'm after.

When one says they are a, "Christian" in pop-society, one is met with assumptions that you are an anti-abortion, screaming, anti-gay-marriage protesting, republican, hateful restrictionist.

So neither term is very useful or beneficial.

Hoovie:

Are you suggesting any action with your post, in regard to forum names? Just wondering....

Quite honestly I don't know what you mean by "action".

If someone were to ask my preference, I would say abandon all public branding of Apostolic Identity. Too much baggage with the term.
