I've told you ad nauseum that the term "Lal-eh-o" is alternately translated "to preach" at least 6x's! Ughh, there's you rverse forbidding women "to preach"..."when you come together"! But, I'm sure you'll just plod along like I didn't point this out [as you've done for about 2 years now] w/ quotes about "prophecy"! If it makes you feel better.......

I have not mentioned Brother Scheel lately ...He is a wonderful person. No ladies in his family are preachers. His wife and I have been best friends since 6th grade....I spoke at his conference last April along with others. However my heros are many...and some include men such as Brother Epley that does NOT believe in women preachers. Brother Burr was one of my heros...in fact he taught my husband to deep sea fish. I have many heros that stand on different sides of the table on many issues....communion, hair, and just lots of things...I even have heros that are not Jesus name...but a person's salvation will depend on HIM saying well done not me...I personally feel baptism in JN is very important and feel that the Bible teaches it that way.
I loved the Voice of Martyrs founder and his wife...but on doctrine we were different...but I have deep respect for their sufferings in Communist lands...
So my friends I will be your friend no matter what you may say and I am certain you would help me in any way for after all is said and done...we all want to be saved...
Please forgive me if my spirit is wrong or has been wrong in any way....
Like about everyone I feel that I am right in what I believe but one day the Judge of the earth will stand up to judge...

Now, let me help you out w/ the grammar of the texts a bit: In Koine' Greek, the suffix of the terms realize the gender of the same, as you point out above. BTW, this is why Junias was a M-A-N & not a "women apostle" as some have hilariously tired to pass off. The name is a 3rd declension masculine noun [not feminine]. When it comes to Anna, you would do well to look up the literal def. of the term "prophetess"," then come back & tell us if this says anything about a "Minister/Preacher"! O' & spare me the obsolte Young's too [who adamantly believed in 'women preacher's'.
|
Spare you the obsolete (please get a dictionary) Young's? As if I was going to quote Young's? lol I don't see anything here that refutes my point. Just more red herring
Quote:
Now, since you have not filled in one single blank asking you to demonstrate where women expounded from the text of God's Word...I'll safely assume you can't do it! And you're talikng to ME about "ripping out of contexts" ??
|
We were talking about prophetesses...you asked where in the NT we find a prophetess and I answered., Once again you introduce a red herring. Im sure others notice that your argument has relied heavily on style (bold letters, dark colors, smily faces and misdirected arguments, which all mask frantic hand waving) over substance.

Funny, I have enough sense to comprehend "I do not allow a woman to teach, OR TO EXCERCISE AUTHORITY OVER A MAN...". Hmmm, I suppose, since this is "talking about the marriage life in the home," then only single women can "preach"?? Oh...that's right, there roles automatically flop when they come to church!! You're a hoot Prax...how about just believing the Bible to save yourself this embarrassment!
|
And you obviously disobey the bible when you don't go around greeting every brother and sister with a kiss...so why are you so selective about what you will obey or teach others from the word?
You still can't prove how "exercise authority" means "Preaching what the bible says" which is as an inane an assertion anyone can make

Of course not. That is my point! Church is feminine yet it does not mean the church is a woman. Same with the generic term for all disciples being in the masculine does not mean all the church is a man or men. lol...well that one went way over your head didn't it?

Oh & NONE of your defintions supported "women preacher's in the 5-fold ministry"! Sorry Charlie...try again!
|
That is the definition of a prophet, someone that prophesies.
Your attempt to avoid my point about police officers, which is what a real deflection is, is very obvious and revealing. Your avoidance of my point about Paul defining someone that is used in the gift of prophecy is a prophet is also obvious and revealing

It's all "culturally relative"! Way to go prax!

lol, dude you obviously don't know what an equivocation fallacy is, you should stop throwing these big words out there that you don't understand
I already explained 1tim 2, then you brought us down another rabbit hole of what a prophetess was.
According to what argument and how do you get that according to that argument none of the bible is for us today? If you admit kissing is for us today why don't you greet all brothers and sisters with a kiss?
