Just a question since I don't really know you. Are you familiar with oneness pentecostalism?

Re: Paying For Tax Cuts...

Wii, yes you do have to prove the stats, since you said it was so.

If I say something is so then I would be the one who needs to provide the stats. YOU said the line to get out was long, so show me where the line is long to get out because people are fed up with this country, since that's what you're intimating. (and/or, if need be, for any other reason)

Where is the proof that the line to get out is longer then to get in?

Obviously you can't provide the proof.

Re: Paying For Tax Cuts...

No, I just have to provide references to the stats as well as share personal observation and experience. This has been done.

there are times when an unsupported and baseless opinion does not effect the outcome of an issue even a tiny miniscule bit.

This is such a case.

Conclusion and summary: If you have some information to add do so, otherwise I will continue to comb American resumes, welcome new American members to our community, share differences between the (5) states where I lived and worked and our present location, and otherwise allow you to return to sit in your warm comfortable opinion.

Right. It's decided then, you only have antedotal evidence.
That's what I thought in the first place....could have saved alot of time and effort by just saying that in the beginning.

Re: Paying For Tax Cuts...

<grin> In my case the evidence is definitely and unquestionably physical. We live overseas.

Statistics are available in many places, especially immigration statistics. One of those readily available is the statistics of where Americans live by region and country.

You wouldnt believe how many are doing and have done just that. was in fact what was said in the beginning. That's when this was decided. That statement was true then and that statement is true now.

After asking twice I also conclude that you have absolutely nothing of value to add. Don't worry though. 50% of Americans have nothing of value to add on a discussion of taxes or tax cuts because they pay little to no taxes anyway and feel quite happy freeloading off of the 50% who do pay those taxes. It actually became obvious days ago that this discussion does not apply to you.

America is GREAT for freeloaders. American is not so great for the productive.

antedotal is not a word.

I don't know how many words you've typed in this little discussion, but the grand total does not add up to having one single stat that proves the line to get out of this country is longer then the line to get in. I asked you to show the stats to prove your point. You've given me nothing. If you think I or anyone else didn't already know people leave here to get jobs overseas then you're sadly mistaken. Now, where are the stats?

And you have not one single fact to prove how much in taxes my husband and I pay. So, call us freeloaders, but you're as wrong about that as you are about the line to get out of this country.

You just can't stand for anything good to be spoken about America. So, you're overseas, you're out of here....be happy about it and stop complaining about America.

Re: Paying For Tax Cuts...

sandie, I have not had time to look up the stats, but sadly, I believe Wii is correct in his overall assumption that Americans are looking more outside of this country for jobs. I too only have personal evidence of my family and friends.
I know of at least 3 families who have moved overseas, primarily because of the business climate here.
I also know that many of the foreign students who used to come here to study, then stay here to live, are returning to their own countries.
We used to be able to grab the best and brightest from other countries to come here, now the flow is reversing.
If we do not do something to reverse this, we will be a larger version of the UK.

I didn't disagree with him on the fact that there are people and probably more (thanks to liberal policies) people looking outside this country to get jobs.
However, he still didn't provide the stats that says the line is longer to get out then to get in.
People are still lining up and climbing fences to get in this country at a far greater pace then to leave.
That was my only point.

And I do agree...we need to change policies, hopefully we'll get some level headed, conservative leaders in place to keep this country the greatest on "God's green earth".
