Dead Sox?
Bill Buckner in 1986 alienated all diehard Boston hopefuls.

Ah... my old nemesis "the Closer." We meet again.
Yes, the boys from Beantown do seem to have somehow escaped the Tribe. You are to be congratulated. And, if I understand the cult ritual of your people, it appears that you will trot out that silly man you call "the DH" in the first game.
But, when you play in my yard your pitcher bats. And as we like to say, "he who throws high heat must also face the high heat" (we used to say "he who smelt it, must have dealt it," but that led to some confusion).
So, Closer... can you take the heat? Oh, wait a minute... it's snowing again. Closer, can you take the snow? I look forward to seeing you shiver.

SNOW? It was in the 70's yesterday and we haven't had a frost yet!

Well, thankfully they have already gotten over that "curse of the Bambino" thing. I might be sympathetic toward their cause otherwise. "Crazy Joe" says Rockies in 6, and maybe. I'd say Rockies in 5 if I were capable of making sporting predictions. But I'm not, so I live through the game like a psychotic and my furniture suffers from the beatings.
We've never been here before.

The Red Sox like to give their fans fits of anxiety and jangling nerves. Count on seven games.
