NAYC: Friday Morn Stepping - kdc

So a superb Stepping Team from Tampa opened the "Jump Start" session today. They had some great chants and steps. Plus, they're sponsoring a Skate Night in Tampa during General Conference! Visit their web site!

Overheard, as a youth & female youth leader passed a screen in the hallway.

Youth: "Look! That's called stepping."
Youth Leader: "No. That's not stepping, that's dancing."

Stepping or step-dancing is a form of percussive dance in which the participant's entire body is used as an instrument to produce complex rhythms and sounds through a mixture of footsteps, spoken word, and hand claps. Though stepping may be performed by an individual, it is generally performed by groups of three or more, often in arrangements that resemble military formations.

Well, I think that this Congress was the Best I have ever been to and I think Todd Gaddy has done an awesome job and I hate to see him go. I don't think anything they have done has caused anyone to backslide.

Ya know, my husband is a dancer - when he was in the world he partied and danced ALOT! LoL! He still likes to dance, when the music is on he will be moving to it, not in a seductive way or anything and he loves to have fun. He only listens to christian music so he is never dancing to worldly stuff....I don't for one minute think it is going to send him to hell.
