Have you ever read "The New Birth Order Book"?
The New Birth Order Book
by Kevin Leman
Birth Order.jpg
Quote:
Fascinating book that focuses on how birth order influences who you are, who you marry, the job you choose and what kind of parent you'll be. This book talks about the first born, middle, youngest and only children and gives descriptions of the strengths and weaknesses of each. Kevin talks about the first born movers and shakers and their perfectionism. The middle born ''inconsistent paradox', & the product of the pressures coming from different directions, the youngest of the family, which myself & the author is himself, 'Last borns love the Limelight', a clown yet rebellious and spoiled and some interesting facts about only children. This book tells why some different birth orders are compatible & why others arent.

No, nor do I know the author.
Have you?
Do you recommend it?

I haven't read this book, but I am familiar with the author and have heard discussions of this book.
As I recall it's not wise for two only children to marry; they've never learned to share. The concept in interesting and no doubt somewhat true.
I'm sure it's worth reading. Check your local library.

Re: Have you ever read "The New Birth Order Book"?
Yes I read this book years ago , it helped me a great deal to understand myself , some feelings and reasons came to light that actually relieved me of some burdens , also I understood my children better.I highly recommend the book ,but remember Kevin is a human and we are children of the KING who understands us perfectly .

Re: Have you ever read "The New Birth Order Book"?
It's an interesting concept, (and a good read), but I wouldn't recommend that anyone follow it religiously. (NPI) Like the comment above where two only children shouldn't marry--we shouldn't limit ourselves in that way. God may have a plan that includes two of the most stubborn people on the planet.
But again, it is very interesting, and I would also recommend this book--just for the fun of analyzing everyone!

Re: Have you ever read "The New Birth Order Book"?
The church I used to go to had a class for young married couples. And the teacher brought up some of the points of the birth order from the book "The New Birth Order Book". Very interesting points were brought out. The thing I didn't much care for in this class was the teacher was my mother. Needless to say my wife and I were used for several examples in this class.
