17 Kids? Woa Nelly! I Have To Admire Them!

There is a couple in Arkansas no less who just welcomed thier 17TH child!

http://www.cnn.com/2007/LIVING/perso....ap/index.html

I have my hands full with three!

Kudos on them for thier obvious love of kids and being able to make a go of it.

Large families are not popular anymore for many reasons.

My grandma on my Dad's side was one of 16 back in Norway in the 1800's.

Only half of those 16 made it to adulthood.

My dad was one of 12! I was the last Grandchild #56!

Imagine those 17 in a few years should the Lord tarry, what the Family

reunions will be like!

God Bless!

Ron

It is pretty amazing. I admire them too. An article said that they are all taught at home too!! Amazing! They have a 7000 square foot house so they must be able to support them all. That would make it easier if money was available to help raise them!

My Mom is one of 14. It is very neat.

NO KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!

This part of the article is what really stood out to me:

Among the "fun facts" listed on Discovery Health's Web page devoted to the Duggars: A baby has been born in every month except June; the family has gone through about 90,000 diapers, and Michelle Duggar has been pregnant for 126 months -- or 10.5 years-- of her life.

I'd have to start drinking, I think.

She must not have any probelms during her pregnancies. I have had several scares with both of mine and because of that this will be my last. Now if something were to come up and we could adopt some more I would be all for it.

Large families are not for everybody. The wise thing to do is avail yourself of modern medicine, but educate yourself on how the various things work. Everything has a side-effect.

As long as it doesn't hurt her health and they can afford it (so I don't have to pay for them) and they are well taken care of they can have as many as they want. JMO
