divine flesh and original sin
can someone please explain all the hoopla over the divine flesh controversy? I personally don't see an issue. Adam and Eve were both created by God and have as much divine flesh as Christ would have, being the physical son of God. We all have divine flesh as descendants of Adam and Eve. I think this issue has to do more with the 'sin nature'. Even Christ had to "learn obedience by the things he suffered." When Christ prayed, "not my will", wasn't he displaying 'human nature'?

Adam and Eve did not have Divine flesh. They were created OF the earth. The Divine Flesh doctrine teaches Jesus was NOT really a relative of yours and mine or Davids via the Human race but was rather a newly created Human of Divine origens...that He inherited his humanity from God and that it was very much UNLIKE yours and mine...
This doctrine denies that Jesus received any humanity genetically from Mary...that she was just a lucky incubator
The bible says Jesus was of the seed of David and was made OF a woman and the Divine flesh doctrine denies that ultimately and ultimately denies that he is our kinsman redeemer

- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

As silly as the doctrine of divine flesh is ... I don't think any proponent of this doctrine will agree with your assessment that they deny that he is our kinsman redeemer ... I'm sure if we had a DFer they would explain to us what they think this means ...
The ironic thing is most DFers believe in PAJC doctrine and are ardent Acts 2:38 ....
Why eat your own?
This is the most disturbing thing about many traditional OPers ... they want to make conclusions for everyone ... Like Trinnies believe in 3 gods ... DFers deny the humanity of Christ, etc.
