What Did You Sign Up For?
I've been thinking about something, a question I have. I suppose it would probably be best for some of the pastors around here to answer this question, but I'd like to know exactly what it is we sign up for when we become Christians. Other than the obvious, which is salvation of my soul, what is included in the New Covenant? If we've entered into an agreement with God then what are the details of that agreement. He promises to do what, what, and what, in exchange for me doing what, what, and what? Is my question making sense? I just realized that I really don't know the answer to this question, but I do know that I've entered into an agreement, a deal if you please, with the Lord. What are the details?

Ok. So you're one in a million. Let's move on! LOL! Unless, of course, you can answer my questions.

Not quite sure how to answer this, but
I asked Jesus Christ to come into my life on March 28, 1955 and He did.
When He came in, He forgave me of all my sins and gave me eternal life.
His requirements are that I love Him with all my heart (emotions), soul (eternal part of me), mind (intellect), and strength (physical part of me) and that I love my neighbor as myself ( Matthew 22:37-39, John 13:34-35). He not only requires that of me, He gives me the power and ability to do that by His indwelling Spirit (even though because of my humanness I don't always do a good job of allowing Him to do it). He tells me that i should seek first the Kingdom (His kingship or rule over me) and if I do that He says all things I need (not necessarily everything I want) will be received by me ( Matthew 6:19-34). He promised me that He will never leave me nor forsake me ( Matthew 28:20, Hebrews 13:5-6). He says I am in the palm of His hand and nothing can remove me from that place of safety, security, and special love ( John 10:27-30).

Sheltiedad- I think not! Chances are extraordinarily high that even as your mother carried you in her womb; you were already dedicated to God by both your parents.
Which of course explains why you keep hanging around an Apostolic forum even though you don't claim to be Apostolic.

I guess I would simply answer - It is his covenant and his work in my heart and life. He drew me to him and I now am his. I owe him my all.
