I walked down to the river. As I got to the river bank the waters parted. I walked across the river to the other side. There was wilderness. On the other side of the wilderness I could see a mountain. The top of the mountain was glowing with fire. I made my way through the wilderness to the mountain. I began to trek up the mountain. I had to reach the top where the fire was glowing.

I believe that God wants to take you to a new and hire place in your purpose and anointing. This will involve greater intimacy with God and perhaps those you love will not entirely understand that God is taking you higher in the Spirit.
You've felt this drawing and call from the Lord for many years. However, there seems to have always been something in the way. If it wasn't one thing, it was another. Circumstance and timing just didn't seem right. However, if you have faith and begin walking, the waters will part regardless of these things that have always appears to be in the way.
There will be a time of testing. These challenges will seem daunting at times, but these are designed to spiritually strengthen and equip you. In these trials you'll discover an even greater dependency upon God, and your faith will be strengthened. There will be temptation. Be on your guard. When Jesus road the donkey into Jerusalem, the people were cheering and praising Him. The donkey was just a vehicle. Remember, you're just the vehicle. Do not seek to touch the glory or pride yourself in any of what God is doing. It is a test and the enemy will tempt you with this repeatedly. There is also another temptation you will face. I don't know what it is, but I sense you already do. Yes, it's coming. You've known it. Just have faith and keep your eyes fixed on the prize. On the other side of this wilderness experience, you'll be at the foot of the mountain... holy ground. God bids you, as He did Moses, to come and commune with Him personally, one on one. The climb will be rough, but the view from the top will forever change you. There you will be shown things and empowered to accomplish the purpose/purposes God has for the remainder of your life. You will return from this a new man. And... this is only the beginning.
God bless and keep you my brother.
