Good for Trump

50 people connected to previous administrations came out yesterday with a signed letter, calling Trump dangerous and stating they will not vote for him.

Trump this morning took them on: "The names on this letter are the ones the American people should look to for answers on why the world is a mess, and we thank them for coming forward so everyone in the country knows who deserves the blame for making the world such a dangerous place,” he said in a written statement. “They are nothing more than the failed Washington elite looking to hold onto their power, and it’s time they are held accountable for their actions."

This tweet by Justin Amash sums up my feelings about this: "I dislike Trump, but these are the people whose policies led to reckless wars, unconstitutional spying on Americans."

This is something which will help Trump, not hurt him.

Re: Good for Trump

Trump's really good at bashing Republicans. Better than bashing Hillary. Now he needs to connect the dots from these 50 to Clinton and show voters why there isn't much breathing room between them and Clinton. Connect her policies to theirs. People have seen the failure of nation building, many have experienced the needless loss of a loved one in Afghanistan or Iraq (or Benghazi). Connect it.

Perfect opportunity to show why Clinton is bad for American foreign policy.

Re: Good for Trump

Reading through the news this morning and see that the Orlando shooter's father -- Taliban supporter -- attended Clinton's rally in Florida.

You really can't make this stuff up!

C'mon media, demand she disavow his support!

Re: Good for Trump

Spot on tweet: "Imagine, for a moment, media reaction if the father of a mass shooter who hated gays was positioned behind Trump."

Shapiro: "Remember when the media lost its mind that a Trump delegate was a white supremacist? A Hillary rallier is a terror-supporter. Outrage: 0."

If Trump comments on this, he will be labeled an Islamophobic racist that is exploiting a tragedy for political gain. Normal people would react with rage against Hillary. But there aren't many normal people left. It is politically incorrect to connect the dots and draw attention to this. There will be no demands placed on Hillary to denounce this man who has made strong ant-gay remarks.

However, if a Dylan Roof's father was to be seen seated behind Trump at one of his rallies, we'd never hear the end of it. Trump would be called on to denounce him and Dems would waste no time pointing out how Trump must support Dylan Roof.

Re: Good for Trump

I think this election should be a wake up call for "Christians" to see that neither party really cares about them.

Both parties exploit people for their own gain.

Forgot who said it, but some GOPe said McCain shouldn't even have to run for re-election; that he should be allowed to remain in Congress as long as he wants.

I believe the exact opposite. There should be term limits, as there is for the President. Senators and Representatives like McCain, Thurmond and others who have served decades in Congress need to be replaced. 10 years is too long. At the very least, they should be required to sit out a term.

And with modern technology they could do most of their job from their local office, back where the electorate can interact with them more.

On a friendly basis, of course.

But that cuts out a lot of perks, like bribe money, underage prostitutes, drunken orgies, dope, and the rest of the inner Beltway lifestyle.
