After reading the link I have to agree that these cases are bad.
But there does seem to be heightened aggression on both sides of the fence and that worries me.
Did you see this article in Idaho where a older rancher was shot?

It seems to me that everyone is walking around with a chip on their shoulder wanting, nay begging to have the other side knock it off so that they can start a war.

the landscape is obviously shifting there. i see a reflection in the military, which has undergone a pretty much total turnover in the brass. The same has happened in the police forces, apparently.

Cops have always been like this. Its just easier to film and expose the bad behavior.

I think we are failing to understand how hard it has become to be a police officer.
The huge drug problem we have, increased "rights" for mental patients, illegal immigrants...
They go to war every day.
You cannot do that without developing some "callousness" yourself.
Otherwise you do not survive.
I am not excusing bad cop behavior, they need to be prosecuted and jailed.
Just giving some reasons for why we are seeing more of this.

We are seeing more of it because technology is more advanced and we are able to catch it on tape

Doesnt matter to me. Bad cops deserve to be fired and prosecuted. The good cops dont excuse the bad cops.
